Balkrishna Industries, a part of the Si-yaram Poddar group, operates in the business segment of tires. It focuses on the production of a range of off-highway tires. It has recently completed its expansion and exports have witnessed significant upturn again. ROE of over 25 per cent and trailing 12 month EPS of Rs 59 make the stock good investment bet for price target of Rs 750.

The proposed demerger of its news and entertainment businesses and its recent move to give a majority stake in its Lifestyle channel to Scripps Networks has seen rerating of NDTV. Buy for a medium term target of Rs 225.

Punters are accumulating textile stocks. Worst is over for the sector, feel industry insiders. Bombay Rayon, Arvind Mills and Alok Industries may move up significantly from the current level in the medium term. Smaller stocks like Suryavamshi, Sambandam and others are also attracting good buying.
